Roundy’s hires Briohn to build Metro Market store in Mequon
Brookfield-based Briohn Building Corp. has been contracted to design and build a new 60,000-square-foot Metro Market grocery store for Milwaukee-based Roundy’s Supermarkets Inc. at 11558 N. Port Washington Road in Mequon. The project is expected to be complete in the spring of 2011. Metro Market is Roundy’s upscale grocery store concept. Roundy’s opened its first Metro Market store in downtown Milwaukee in 2004 and opened its second Metro Market store earlier this year at 17630 W. Blue Mound Road in Brookfield.
In addition, Briohn has been contracted to design and build an 18,320-square-foot building for First Choice Ingredients at N112 W19528 Mequon Road, Germantown.
Briohn recently completed several projects: an interior renovation of the Pick ‘n Save grocery store at 2625 S. 108th St., West Allis; a 7,200-square-foot medical office for Bonness Cosmetic Surgery and Spa Vita at 20320 W. Greenfield Ave., Brookfield; a 1,800-square-foot Ginza Sushi Restaurant in the One Mayfair Place Shopping Center at 2727 N. Mayfair Road, Wauwatosa; and the interior build-out for Fro Yo Bella Frozen Yogurt at Bayshore Town Center in Glendale.

MSI General Corp. to build Ingeteam facility in Milwaukee
Oconomowoc-based MSI General Corp. was selected to design and building the new 140,000-square-foot manufacturing facility for Bilbao, Spain-based Ingeteam in the Menomonee Valley in Milwaukee. The company will use the facility to build wind power generators and converts and solar photovoltaic converters. A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for June 23 and the project is expected to be complete in February of 2011.

Milwaukee-based Inland Construction Inc. was recently awarded several projects: a 55,000-square-foot tenant improvement for Johnson Controls at 5055 N. Lydell Ave., Glendale; a 47,000-square-foot tenant improvement for Bentley World Packaging at 330 W. Olive St., Glendale; a 23,900-square-foot tenant improvement for Pentair at 330 W. Olvie St., Glendale; and a 1,776-square-foot tenant improvement for Scottrade at 250 E. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee.
