Neumann’s ads air in Milwaukee market

GOP gubernatorial hopeful Mark Neumann, a southeastern Wisconsin homebuilder, brags in a new radio ad that he was kicked off the House Appropriations Committee while in the House because he "fought wasteful spending."
"They ridiculed him and threatened him. They even tried to keep him from attending committee hearings," the ad says about GOP House leaders at the time. "But Mark Neumann persisted. Others joined him, and four years later, the budget was balanced, taxes cut and new jobs created."
The narrator said Neumann, who served in the House from 1995 to 1999 representing southeastern Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District, is running for governor on a platform of turning around the state’s economy by cutting spending and taxes along with "encouraging small businesses to create jobs."
A campaign spokesman says the 60-second spot is playing in all state markets except Duluth/Superior.
Neumann has also expanded his TV campaign to the Milwaukee market, the first guv candidate to get up on the air in the state’s largest metropolitan area.
