In his new role, Podesta will focus on growing NBF's omnichannel growth strategy amid industry disruption. He assumed his role on Aug. 10, according to a news release. "Podesta joins NBF at a time when the very nature of work, specifically where and how people work, is changing," the company said, in reference to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on office space use and work from home trends. Prior to joining National Business Furniture, Podesta served as senior vice president - general manger at Detroit-based Art Van Furniture, where he led new market territories and modernized operations. Before that, he served as chief merchandising and supply chain officer and later, as chief revenue officer at Brookstone in Boston. “I’m honored and energized by the opportunity to lead this team of talented individuals as we work together to build on NBF’s solid foundation of quality and customer satisfaction,” said Podesta. In 2016, National Business Furniture moved its headquarters from downtown Milwaukee to 770 S. 70th St., where it has a 12,000-square-foot showroom with more than 1,000 office furniture products. National Business Furniture was founded in 1975 by the late George and Julie Mosher.
