The AARP has honored U.S. Sen. HERB KOHL (D-Wis.) with its 2009 Legislative Leadership Award. Kohl is chairman of the Senate’s Special Committee on Aging.
The United Way of Greater Milwaukee has dedicated its building to JANE BRADLEY PETTIT, the late philanthropist who is the largest donor in the group’s 100-year history. She gave about $10 million to the group during her lifetime.
