What has fueled your company’s growth?

“Over the last few years there has been increasing pressure to find new methods to control health care costs. The old way of doing business was no longer enough. More recently this need to control costs has also been coupled with the need to improve access to care. These two pressing priorities have vaulted our company and our market-based solutions to the forefront.”

What has been the biggest obstacle to your company’s growth?

“The current economic climate we are in certainly is challenging. Our challenge is finding highly skilled sales and service employees to handle our business growth. While unemployment is high, we have seen that the best and brightest talent have stayed where they are at, where they have assumed greater responsibilities and territories.”

Do you have any planned changes for your company in the coming months?

“This year has been our best so far. For the remainder of the year we are focused on bringing our new clients on board and being well prepared for next year’s continued growth.”

Who are the business people, locally or nationally, whom you admire? What traits do those people exhibit that make you admire them?

“Clayton Christensen of Harvard Business School and Dr. John Kenagy of Harvard Business School. ‘Seeing the art of the possible.'”

What is the outlook for the business conditions of your industry over the next several months?

“The two industry trends that we see playing out for the next 18 months are the adoption of electronic health records throughout the industry and their interplay with Health Information Exchanges. Vast amounts of government funds are going out for both efforts. The second trend is the enormous pressure state governments are having with their health care budgets. State budget shortfalls coupled with vast increases in Medicaid enrollment have placed pressure for innovation like never before.”

What has been your company’s key strategy for rising out of the recession?

“Unlike many or most private businesses, we are not feeling the effects of the recession. Our clients need new methods to save money and improve the delivery of health care in the most cost effective settings. Our challenge is to fully execute on the real need in the market.”
