MU buys Butch’s Old Casino Steak House building

Marquette University purchased the Butch’s Old Casino Steak House building in downtown Milwaukee for $690,000, according to state records.

The 5,046-square-foot building at 555 N. James Lovell St. was built in 1960. It has an assessed value of $391,000, according to city records.

The building will be razed to make way for a sports medicine/health and wellness facility – a collaborative partnership between the Milwaukee Bucks and Marquette University.
