Nashotah-based design and construction company MSI General Corp. announced Thursday that it has acquired Milwaukee-based architectural firm Tredo Group LLC. Tredo Group provides full architectural design and facility planning services for clients in southeastern Wisconsin. With the acquisition, company founder Jeff Tredo has been appointed vice president and director of design at MSI General. The project portfolio of Tredo Group, and Jeff Tredo individually, includes portions of the mixed-used Ballpark Commons development and ROC Ventures' office headquarters in Franklin; additions to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee; and the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families building in Milwaukee. A graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran High School and UW-Milwaukee’s School of Architecture and Planning, Jeff Tredo launched Tredo Group in 2016. Ten years earlier, he co-founded Korb Tredo Architects Inc., now known as Korb + Associates Architects. In 2015, he was the firm principal at Milwaukee-based Rinka Chung Architecture, now called RINKA. Tredo has built his career on providing services to under-served clients as well as organizations at the top of their industries, including St. Marcus Lutheran School, Milwaukee College Prep, Marquette University and the Milwaukee Bucks, according to a news release. Founded in 1957, MSI General is a privately held, veteran-owned firm led by chairman and longtime former chief executive officer Dirk Debbink and president Ken Krahe. Its past projects range from industrial - including Ingeteam's building and Charter Wire's manufacturing facility, both in Milwaukee's Menomonee Valley - to commercial, including the Outpost Natural Foods headquarters and warehouse on Milwaukee's south side, and restaurants such as Ian's Pizza's four area locations and Cornerstone Pub in Oconomowoc.
