Racine-based Modine Manufacturing Co. has named Neil Brinker as its new president and chief executive officer. Brinker comes to Modine from Colorado-based Advanced Energy Industries Inc. where he was president and chief operating officer since May 2020. He joined AE in June 2018 as executive vice president and chief operating officer. "Neil is a proven leader with strong global public company experience across multiple industries,” said Marsha Williams, chairperson of Modine’s board. “In particular, Neil's commitment to operational excellence and his diverse experience, along with success executing profitable growth strategies provide him with the skills needed to drive Modine's transformation to a diversified industrial company.” Prior to AE, Brinker was a group president at IDEX Corp. from 2015 to 2018 and held other leadership roles at the company from 2012 to 2015. He held management roles at Danaher Corp. from 2007 to 2012 and various operations roles at General Motors from 2001 to 2007. "Modine has a long history of providing technical leadership and innovation in thermal management,” Brinker said. “The need for sophisticated thermal solutions is accelerating every day, and Modine has the reputation, intellectual knowhow, and talent to become more growth focused in this rapidly transforming world.” Brinker takes over from Mick Lucareli, who had served as interim president and chief executive officer. Lucareli had served in the interim role since Tom Burke stepped down as CEO in August. Williams said Lucareli would continue as the company’s chief financial officer, a role he held prior to Burke’s departure. “Mick has been with Modine for over 20 years and will be a great resource for Neil,” Williams said, thanking Lucareli for his leadership in the interim role.
