Modine makes leadership changes for acquisition

New position to oversee integration planning

Modine Manufacturing acquired Luvata Heat Transfer Systems, which manufactures heat exchanger coils, commercial refrigeration and industrial coolers, along with anti-corrosion coating solutions.

Racine-based Modine Manufacturing Co. announced two leadership changes Friday meant to help the company handle the integration of Luvata Heat Transfer Solutions.

Modine announced the $422 million acquisition of Memphis-based Luvata HTS earlier this week and expects the deal to close the deal by the end of the year. The deal would add $530 million in revenue, potentially giving Modine $1.9 billion in annual sales.

The company has created the position of vice president – Luvata HTS integration lead to handle the looming integration. Matt McBurney, formerly vice president for building HVAC has been appointed to the role.

McBurney will be response for establishing the integration management office, developing detailed plans for integration, identifying and capturing synergies and acting as a point of contact for Luvata HTS.

The company has appointed Scott Miller to take over McBurney’s role as VP for building HVAC.
