Miracle on Canal Street raises almost $1 million

Organizations:

Potawatomi Bingo Casino’s 2012 Miracle on Canal Street fundraiser distributed nearly $1 million among 30 local charities, awarding each more than $32,000 during the Miracle on Canal Street program Friday, Dec. 14.

The annual campaign primarily collects funds through special “Miracle” bingo games played at the casino from August through December. Funds benefit nonprofit organizations focused on improving the lives of children throughout southeastern Wisconsin.

“Every holiday season I am humbled to be a part of the Miracle on Canal Street program,” said Melanie Martin, bingo director at the casino. “It warms my heart to see these charitable organizations provide critical services and hope to younger generations.”
