BizTimes Milwaukee recently surveyed the members of the Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin (CARW), asking them which development projects should be the top priorities and would provide the best return on investment for the region. Each survey respondent was allowed to pick three projects. The following list ranks the projects by the percentage of CARW members’ votes they attracted.

1. Park East corridor, 32.7 percent

2. Shops of Grand Avenue, 32.7 percent

3. Kohl’s corporate headquarters, 25.5 percent

4. UWM Innovation Park, 23.6 percent

5. Bradley Center replacement, 20 percent

6. Menomonee Valley, 20 percent

7. Aerotroplis development near airport, 18.2 percent

8. Northwestern Mutual office building, 16.4 percent

9. UWM School of Freshwater Sciences, 16.4 percent

10. Oak Creek Delphi site, 14.5 percent

11. O’Donnell Park area redevelopment, 14.5 percent

12. Pabst brewery project, 12.7 percent

13. Pabst Farms, 7.3 percent

14. 30th Street Industrial Corridor, 7.3 percent

15. The Corners, 5.5 percent

16. Washington Square, 5.5 percent

17. Reed Street Yards business park, 5.5 percent

18. Kenosha casino, 5.5 percent

19. Potawatomi hotel, 3.6 percent

20. Cousins Center, 3.6 percent

21. Schlitz Park renovation, 1.8 percent
