Milwaukee County Tavern League

The annual Tavern League of Wisconsin Spring Conference kicks off April 12 in Milwaukee, offering networking and business development opportunities to potential members and businesses seeking to gain inroads to the hospitality industry.

The Milwaukee County Tavern League is hosting the four-day gathering, which will draw up to 800 attendees. Dozens of volunteers from the local TLW chapter are pitching in to help with registration, transportation and myriad other tasks to help the conference run smoothly.

For a $35 fee, non-TLW members can gain access to several highly-popular events:

• A sold-out trade show Tuesday from noon to 5 p.m., and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Crowne Plaza Milwaukee Airport Hotel, 6401 S. 13th St.
• Two educational seminars offered Tuesday: “Wisconsin’s Wage and Hour Laws: Basics and Beyond” from 1 to 2 p.m., and “Taxes and Audits: What’s Changed?” from 3 to 4 p.m. Both will be held at the Crowne Plaza Milwaukee Airport Hotel.
• A Monday welcome party with live music, beginning at 8 p.m., at Cooperage, 818 S. Water St.
• A Tuesday cocktail party with live music and free beverages, beginning at 8 p.m., at the GrandStay Hotel, 6331 S. 13th St.

“We’re thrilled to welcome hundreds of our fellow hospitality industry business operators, who represent a backbone of Wisconsin’s economy,” said Lorie Helm, President of the Milwaukee County Tavern League. “We invite anyone in the hospitality industry, or who is seeking to build relationships there, to attend the Spring Conference and learn how active the Milwaukee County chapter is, and of the many tremendous benefits of membership in the Tavern League of Wisconsin.”
