Compared with most states, Wisconsin is not feeling much of the direct impact of the partial federal government shutdown.
As the shutdown extended to its 15th day, hopes for a settlement dimmed today when House Republicans worked on their own bill to circumvent any compromise bill to come out of the Senate.
