MIAD Dorm

Construction began recently for a new six-story apartment-style residence hall that the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) will build at 252 E. Menomonee St. in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, across the street from the college’s main academic building.

The upper five floors of the building will have 75 full furnished two-bedroom suites, which will be able to accommodate up to 310 students. The ground floor will have 5,780 square feet of retail space. The developer for the project is General Capital Group. The architect is Engberg Anderson Inc. and it will be built by Northtrack Construction. The project is expected to be complete in the fall of 2014.
