M&I donates Donald Driver books to youth organization

The M&I Foundation recently partnered with the Donald Driver Foundation to donate 500 children’s books, written by Green Bay Packer wide receiver Donald Driver, to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee.
“Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee is committed to supporting positive youth development including increasing academic achievement. One of the most effective ways to do that is to promote reading,” said Amy Chionchio, president and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee. “This generous donation of Donald Driver books by the M&I Foundation will support our mentors as they find exciting ways to engage our Little Brothers and Little Sisters in reading and reaching for their dreams.”
“One of the key components of M&I’s corporate mission is to make our communities a better place to live and work, and our community involvement efforts both as a corporation and on behalf of our employees include a strong, ongoing commitment to education and literacy,” said Mark Furlong, president and CEO, Milwaukee-based Marshall & Ilsley Corp. “We are therefore pleased to team up with the Donald Driver Foundation and make possible the donation of 500 ‘Quickie’ books, written by Donald himself, to hundreds of children who benefit from the services of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee.”
