Meta House needs your vote on July 4

Learn more about:

Milwaukee-based Meta House, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that offers drug and alcohol addiction recovery programs and services to women and their children has been selected as one of 500 finalists in the Toyota 100 Cars for Good program.

The contest profiles five finalist organizations for 100 days and awards one vehicle to the organization with the most votes each day. It’s Toyota’s first initiative that directly engages the public.
Meta House was selected from over 4,000 applicants to compete in the national program.
“We need all Wisconsinites to get behind this effort and vote on July 4th,” said Dr. Francine Feinberg, Meta House executive director, who recently announced her retirement. “A new vehicle would be instrumental in allowing us to continue to provide transportation services to our clients and their children. We’re grateful for this incredible opportunity to support our mission.”
Meta House will participate in the July 4th parade and picnic in the Riverwest neighborhood. A voting reminder station will also be set up in Gordon Park to help people vote.
“We want to seize the occasion and make Independence Day a date that will help women free themselves from addictions,” Feinberg said. “Toyota and the cooperation of voters throughout the state can help make it happen.”
Anyone with a Facebook account can cast a ballot by going to www.100carsforgood.com on July 4th and voting for the organization they think will do the most good with the new vehicle. The nonprofit with the most votes at the end of each day will win one of six Toyota models. Runners-up will each receive a $1,000 cash grant from Toyota.
