Cedarburg Pharmaceuticals. acquires Denver company

Cedarburg Pharmaceuticals Inc,  a privately owned chemistry-based contract development manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients and key intermediates for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries, has acquired InB: Hauser Pharmaceutical Services of Denver, Colo.

The newly formed company is called Cedarburg Hauser Pharmaceuticals Inc. and will continue to be based Grafton.

The acquisition further strengthens Cedarburg’s position as a leader in the rapidly growing CDMO market.

Hauser’s expertise in natural products, isolation/purification and cGMP manufacturing augment Cedarburg’s synthetic chemistry and cGMP manufacturing expertise and broadens the combined company’s overall service capabilities offered to clients.

"The acquisition allows us to maximize the true potential of both organizations as one fully integrated contract development and manufacturing organization building value for our shareholders, employees and customers. The merger will also speed up the development and manufacturing of products currently in our product pipeline," said R. Anthony Laughrey, president and chief executive officer of Cedarburg Hauser. "The new Cedarburg Hauser is well positioned to provide increased efficiency for our clients as they move their critical process development and manufacturing projects through clinical development and ultimately into the commercial arena.’
