Meet the Businesses of the Year

Combined, the companies being honored in the 2012 Waukesha County Business Alliance’s Top 10 Businesses of the Year program generate more than $272 million in annual revenues and employ more than 850 people.

The companies were honored by the Waukesha County Business Alliance and BizTimes Media LLC at the Country Springs Hotel in Pewaukee on June 7.

This year’s winners are:

ActionCOACH – Elm Grove

Davies Orthodontics – Waukesha and Wales

DUECO Inc. – Waukesha

First Business Bank-Milwaukee – Brookfield

Graphics Systems – Menomonee Falls

QPS Employment Group – Brookfield

Rentapen Inc. – Waukesha

Ruekert/Mielke Inc. – Waukesha

Tim O’Brien Homes Inc. – Waukesha

Waukesha Metal Products – Sussex

The winners were selected by an independent panel of judges based upon criteria that included financial growth, employee growth, customer focus, employee relations and community service.

“Our winning companies represent the diversity and strength of southeastern Wisconsin’s business community – construction, engineering, finance, graphics, health care, manufacturing, and business services,” said Suzanne Kelley, president of the Waukesha County Business Alliance.

“Our winners embody a number of exceptional qualities, including a keen focus on customer satisfaction, product quality, innovation, and community engagement. They were selected from a very competitive field of nominees. One of the features that make these companies stand out is a shared commitment to talent development and ensuring a strong future workforce. All are devoting significant time, talent and treasure not only to developing their current employees, but also to implementing strategies to build a pipeline of skilled workers for our region in the future,” Kelley said. “Our Top 10 companies are helping drive the economic recovery of Waukesha County and the M7 region. We are delighted to recognize their achievements and appreciate their positive contribution to our community today and for many years.”

“We salute the 2012 class of the Businesses of the Year. I invite our readers to take a look at the best practices of each of the winners. These are some of the best of the best, and their bold leadership is making a difference, not only at their companies but in the community at large,” said Dan Meyer, publisher of BizTimes Milwaukee.
