Medical school, nursing home plan expansions

    A North Chicago medical school with booming enrollment and an Arlington Heights nursing home that needs to modernize are plowing ahead with construction plans.

    The Illinois Finance Authority on Tuesday preliminarily approved financing plans for Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science to add classrooms and for the parent group of Lutheran Home for the Aged Inc. to give each room in its long-term care facility a private bathroom.
