Master Z’s closes Bayshore Town Center location

Rec room retailer Master Z’s has closed its location at Bayshore Town Center, two years after the Waukesha-based retailer opened the store.

The 4,500-square-foot store’s last day of operation was Jan. 1, according to a flier sent to customers.

Store owner Jim Lindenberg said the lease was about to expire on the Bayshore location so he decide to consolidate in Waukesha.

“We have a 15,000-square-foot retail store, a 25,000-square-foot warehouse and next door to our store, we have 1.25 acres for expansion (all in Waukesha),” Lindenberg said. “We are a destination. People want to touch a pool table and look at patio furniture. And they like to come to a large facility.”

Lindenburg said the two employees working in Glendale will join the 10 staff members in Waukesha.

Lindenberg acquired the Glendale branch of Mayfield Hts. Ohio-based Danny Vegh’s in January 2016, and converted the store to a Master Z’s.

Lindenberg, who also owns Legends of the Field. He purchased Master Z’s Waukesha,1005 Spring City Drive, in September 2016.
