Notable Women in Finance: Mary Ellen Krueger

Director, wealth management, partner, Aspiriant

Mary Ellen Krueger has more than two decades of experience helping families make smart financial decisions. She specializes in concentrated wealth, multi-generational planning, retirement planning and philanthropic legacy planning.

Krueger is one of 22 female partners at Aspiriant. She has helped grow the business from roughly $7 billion to $12 billion of assets under management in just 10 years-making Aspiriant one of the largest and most prominent independent investment advisory firms in the country.

She has been recognized by Forbes as a “Best-in-State Advisor” as well as by Working Mother Magazine as a Top Wealth Advisor Mom. In addition to her role as partner she serves on the firm’s editorial committee and is a regular contributor to Aspiriant’s blog “Fathom.”

In her spare time she enjoys golfing, reading, going to sporting events and watching her two daughters play sports.

“On top of her ongoing leadership and dedication to the wealth management industry, Mary Ellen exemplifies extraordinary social responsibility,” said John Petrie, managing director and partner at Aspiriant.

Krueger currently serves as vice chair of the TEMPO Milwaukee Foundation Board and past chair and current member of TEMPO Mentor Circles, an initiative to match women in peer-to-peer mentoring groups.

Additionally, she provides technical content and support to Wisconsin family businesses through her involvement with the Wisconsin Family Business Center. She also volunteers her time at St. Charles Hartland School and Parish serving on the Home & School Committee.
