The awards recognize eight U.S. institutional investors whose innovative strategies resulted in impressive overall fund performance.
“This award reflects the thoughtful analysis and fiduciary responsibility Sean brings to one of Marquette’s most important financial systems,” said Chuck Lamb, vice president for finance. “We’re all incredibly proud of Sean and join Institutional Investor in lauding him for his exceptional work managing Marquette’s endowment.”

Prior to joining Marquette in 2005, Gissal was an investment analyst at Milwaukee Employees’ Retirement System. Before that, he was an investment associate at State Street Global Advisors.
Gissal will be honored at a dinner and ceremony on Monday, May 14 in New York.
