Milwaukee-based Olympus Flag & Banner has promoted Brian Adam to president of the company. Adam joined the company five years ago.

"Brian offers tremendous vision for the company and all of its employees,” said company spokeswoman Dawn Rolison. “Olympus has been fortunate to experience tremendous growth over the past several years through acquisitions, building of customer relationships and by staying ahead of the curve in technology. Brian has been an integral part of these successful strategies and will, without a doubt, continue to be strong in his leadership.”

Douglas Dynamics, Inc. has named Donald W. Sturdivant as a Class III independent director od its board of directors. Sturdivant will serve as a member of the compensation committee, the audit committee and the nominating and governance gommittee. He will replace Jeffrey Serota, who had been serving as a director since 2004 and was a member of the compensation committee.

Sturdivant currently serves as chief executive officer of Marietta Corporation and has significant management experience during his 24 year career in the manufacturing industry. Prior to assuming his current role, Sturdivant was an executive vice president of Graphic Packaging International where he held various positions over a seven year period.
