Acuity adds Mauer to board
Acuity Insurance has named Lisa Mauer, owner and president of Milwaukee-based Tool Service Corp, an industrial tool distributor, to its board of directors.
Other companies in the Tool Service enterprise include Tool Fabrication Corp., which designs and builds cutting tools, and Fluid Service Corp., which provides onsite fluid management for manufacturing firms.
Mauer is past president of the Independent Business Association of Wisconsin and currently serves on the association’s board of directors.
"Having been at Tool Service through the ups and downs of changing economies, I know the value of a steady approach to business regardless of the challenges you face, and that is one of Acuity’s greatest strengths," Mauer said.
Sheboygan-based Acuity is a property and casualty insurer that operates in 17 states, writes $810 million in premium through over 800 independent agencies and manages $2 billion in assets.
