Mark Magnarini has been named chief operating officer of St. Francis-based Fontarôme Chemical, Inc., a manufacturer and international supplier of ingredients for use in the pharmaceutical and flavor and fragrance industries. In his new position, Magnarini will be responsible for all aspects of operations management, including research and development and purchasing. Magnarini joined the company in 2008 as vice president of operations. He oversaw production and production control, distribution, process support and facilities and equipment management. He has more than 30 years experience in the custom/contract manufacturing industry. “It’s immensely satisfying working with Fontarôme because Carl Sheeley, the company owner, has a bold and exciting vision for the business,” said Magnarini. “In my new position, I’m working closely with Carl to help him grow the company.”

Wixon, Inc., a St. Francis-based food and flavor products manufacturer, has named Karen Linck regional sales manager for industrial products. Linck will manage current customer accounts and expand sales opportunities for the company’s product line in Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, and Missouri. Linck and her husband, John, will continue to reside in suburban St. Louis. Prior to joining Wixon, Linck was a strategic account executive for Kerry Ingredients, Inc. She has more than 12 years of marketing and technical experience in products for the food industry including protein, seasonings, and prepared meals.
