Bay View bar and cocktail lounge, At Random, has reopened after an eight-month hiatus and transition of ownership.

At Random, which is located at 2501 S. Delaware Ave., serves unique cocktails, often made with ice cream or served in punch bowls.

The bar was recently purchased by John Dye, the owner of The Jazz Estate on Milwaukee’s East Side and Bryant’s near Walker’s Point, and unofficially reopened its doors last week, but with “random” hours, according to a Facebook post.

It will operate with limited hours, menu items and seating until its employees are trained and cosmetic changes to the space are finished.

“Once things are perfect we will open regular hours and will have all the drinks you know and love, plus an amazing section of classic cocktails,” the restaurant said in the post.

At Random has been a Milwaukee staple since retired owner Ron Zeller opened it over 50 years ago. It had been temporarily closed since late spring.
