How does a company differentiate itself making something you already use? By delivering a better experience and becoming known for it. At HellermannTyton, we believe products and relationships form a promise and an expectation that we will provide customers with greater value.
Innovation has been the spark igniting our people, processes and product development since the start of our global company over 80 years ago.
We are celebrating our 50th year in North America, looking to our past with genuine appreciation and forging ahead with purpose. The many markets we serve share a common trajectory: upward. We are proud of our role in that trajectory and excited about what’s over the next horizon.
As cars, refrigerators and manufacturing facilities become ever more intelligent – with added cameras, sensors, radar and data systems – we get the opportunity to help manufacturers with technical solutions to physically manage all the wires and cables. As solar and wind farms expand across the nation and the world, we provide expertise in protecting electrical connections and crews who work around them.
Our product managers seek out customer challenges to solve. Our engineers collaborate with chemists and stakeholders to fuel imaginations and invent these solutions. Our manufacturing experts take these solutions from idea to reality. Our marketers and sales teams educate customers on how these products offer assurance, reliability and overall cost savings.
We could be describing most companies like ours. But there’s the question at the beginning of this article.
A better customer experience starts with understanding customer needs and delivering superior products and services, which are a direct result of our people.
They are our most valuable resource, so we hire the best talent and provide the opportunities and tools to create challenging and fulfilling careers.
To nurture our culture of innovation, we have a strategy called the 3Cs: Growing Careers, Building Competence and Creating Community. People grow as individuals and as a community inside and outside the company. Ideas come from all corners of the company and are shared directly with the president, individually or at group listening sessions. Having a transparent and entrepreneurial culture of engaged employees accelerates our success. We thank our teams through numerous perks, like company bonuses, and a workplace that inspires.
We’ve only glimpsed what the next 50 years will bring, but thanks to our customer promise and our winning culture, we are ready for anything. Bring on tomorrow.
