Milwaukee World Festival, Inc., recently announced the first headline performer for Summerfest 2012. Lady Antebellum along with Darius Rucker and Thompson Square will perform at the Marcus Amphitheater on Saturday, June 30.
The trio’s previous two albums have sold over five million copies, produced four number one hits, scored six Grammy’s and over a dozen other awards show trophies. The group is currently nominated for Vocal Group of the Year for the 45th Annual CMA Awards, Favorite Country Band, Duo or Group for the 2011 American Music Awards and will be honored as one CMT’s five Artists of the Year in December.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. and include Summerfest admission. Tickets can be purchased at the Marcus Amphitheater Box Office, Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, Walmart stores, online at Ticketmaster.com and by phone at 1.800.745.3000. Summerfest 2012 will take place June 27 – July 1 and July 3 – 8, from Noon until Midnight and will be closed Monday, July 2.
