Ohio-based label manufacturer Repacorp Inc. is seeking to expand its facility in Franklin by 40,000 square feet, according to documents submitted to the city.

The facility is located just north of the intersection of West Forest Home Avenue and West Rawson Avenue. An affiliate of Franklin-based Ener-Con Co. Inc. owns the building but it has been leased to Repacorp for a number of years.

The proposal calls for two smaller buildings on the property to be demolished and replaced with a 40,120-square-foot addition. The proposal also includes parking lot changes, the addition of loading docks and a driveway connection to South 112th Street.

Repacorp is currently at capacity for manufacturing at the Franklin  site and would need to relocate without the expansion, according to documents submitted to the state Department of Natural Resources. The company has other locations in Ohio and Arizona.

The company currently has 55 employees in Franklin and the expansion would give the company room to add at least 20 jobs in the future, according to Franklin plan commission documents.

The plan commission is scheduled to consider a number of approvals for the project on Thursday.
