LA CROSSE- Festival generates $15 million for local economy

The first fiscal study done on La Crosse’s Oktoberfest celebration found it generates $15 million for the local economy.

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Fiscal and Economic Research Center staff during the 2014 fest surveyed more than 600 people for the study authorized by La Crosse Festivals Inc. The study also found attendees spend an average of $202 in the community during the event.
