L.A. investor buys Affinia Chicago Hotel

    A Los Angeles-based investor has bought the Affinia Chicago Hotel in Streeterville with plans to give it a new name: MileNorth.

    Lowe Enterprises Investors says it has acquired the 213-room hotel at 166 E. Superior St. from Denihan Hospitality Group, Lowe bought the 28-story building for an investment client and has brought in a sister company, Destination Hotels & Resorts, to run it.
