Krug to join Artisan

Bryan C. Krug will join Artisan Partners Asset Management Inc. in Milwaukee as a fixed income portfolio manager, likely by the end of the year.

Krug has 14 years of industry experience and seven years of portfolio management experience leading a high-yield investment strategy. He holds a bachelor’s in finance from Miami University and is a CFA charterholder.

At Artisan, Krug will lead the upcoming launch of a credit opportunities strategy and develop a new investment team as he sees fit.

“Our process for evaluating new investment talent is very thorough and we are extremely patient,” said Eric Colson, president and chief executive officer. “As a high value-added investment manager we want individuals who fit within our business model, with deeply passionate beliefs about their investment philosophy, and who possess investment perspectives that differ from consensus. Non-consensus thinking is the key to value-added decision making. Bryan is a great fit for our organization on all accounts. We are very excited to begin working with him to build our sixth autonomous investment team.”
