A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Tuesday to celebrate the start of construction for a 25,000-square-foot Krause Funeral Home facility at 21600 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield.
It will be the fourth Krause Funeral Home facility. Two are located in Milwaukee and the third is located in Brookfield.
The new funeral home will have two chapels, a formal chapel and a crematory chapel. The visitation rooms will be more informal. Catering and beverage service will be available via a full service kitchen.
“Krause Funeral Homes will be offering Milwaukee’s west side and Lake Country residents a state-of-the-art facility to help memorialize their loved ones,” said spokeswoman Christel Henke. “Waukesha County has been a growing market and Krause is pleased to launch this new building project.”
Pewaukee-based VJS Construction Services is the construction manager for the project.
