Nashotah-based manufacturer Dickten Masch Plastics has named Kim Korth president and chief executive officer.
Korth replaces Steve Dyer, who had been president and CEO since 2008. Dyer left at the end of November to pursue other interests. He and Dickten Masch mutually agreed to part ways, said Doreen Lettau, vice president of market and business development.
“We value the contributions that Steve Dyer made to Dickten Masch in his time with us,” particularly in growing the leadership team, she said.
Dyer oversaw the acquisition of Mexican plastic manufacturer United Plastics Group Inc. in 2011 and Mishawaka, Ind.-based technical plastics manufacturer Nyloncraft Inc. in September. He also implemented an on-site training program to emphasize technical and leadership skills and bridge the talent gap in manufacturing.
Korth is an automotive expert with more than 30 years of experience working at manufacturing firms in several industries. She most recently served as president and CEO of Goshen, Ind.-based truck body manufacturer Supreme Corp.
“I am excited about joining Dickten Masch and I look forward to working with the DMP team to strengthen and grow the business,” Korth said. “DMP has a long history of great customer relationships and a well-deserved reputation as a world class-manufacturing partner. With the company’s recent expansion into Mexico, DMP is well positioned to continue their journey to becoming one of the premier technical plastic companies in North America.”
She also will serve as CEO of Techniplas, a new conglomeration of plastics manufacturing businesses, including Dickten Masch, Nyloncraft and other technical organizations.
“Kim brings an enormous amount of experience, expertise, energy and passion to both Dickten Masch and Techniplas,” said George Votis, chairman of Techniplas. “I’m confident in her ability to encourage collaboration and the sharing of best practices between the companies while driving innovation in meaningful ways that benefit all of our customers.”
Dickten Masch provides advanced technical solutions in thermoplastic and thermoset molding, engineering, analytical lab and tooling services.
