Korb Tredo Architects principals to split

The principals of Milwaukee-based architectural firm Korb Tredo Architects say they are splitting amicably to pursue new business opportunities.

Jason Korb and Jeff Tredo founded the firm in 2006. In a deal expected to close next week, Korb will purchase Tredo’s half of the business. Tredo plans to take about one-fourth to one-third of the company’s 20 employees with him to start his own architectural firm in Milwaukee.

“After a lot of discussion about the future of he firm and what we each wanted to accomplish, Jeff and I came to the decision that we believe allows us to continue to serve the architectural nees of this community, but to do so in ways unique to our specific areas of focus,” Korb said.

Korb will rebrand Korb Tredo Architects and eventually plans to transition to “more of an employee-owned company with multiple shareholders,” he said.

“We will rebrand, probably sooner than later,” Korb said. “It will be very soon.

In some cases Korb and Tredo’s firms will collaborate on projects, they said.

Korb’s office will remain at 790 E. Milwaukee St. Tredo declined to say where his firm’s office will be located.
