Kohl’s pays $2.5 million for ProHealth Care building

Kohl’s Corp. last week completed its purchase of the 28,000-square-foot former ProHealth Care medical building at W165 N5595 Creekwood Crossing in Menomonee Falls from ProHealth Care Medical Associates Inc. for $2.5 million, according to state records.

Kohl’s recently announced that it has dropped its plans to build a new 900,000-square-foot second corporate headquarters campus in the Woodland Prime Office Park in Menomonee Falls and instead would purchase the former ProHealth Care medical building and the 300,000-square-foot former Innoware building at W165 N5830 Ridgewood Dr. in Menomonee Falls.

The ProHealth Care building will house an employee wellness center and fitness facility. The company will use its current wellness center, a 24,000-square-foot facility located at W165 N5800 Ridgewood Drive, as a childcare center.

The former Innoware building will be converted into a corporate facility for Kohl’s IT workers.

“Combined, these two new facilities will give us the ability to add up to 360,000 square feet of space for our corporate operations,” the company said in a statement last month. “This is an increase of over 40 percent of our current capacity.”
