Tim Keane is resigning as director of Marquette University’s Kohler Center for Entrepreneurship, effective Dec. 31.
Keane will continue to teach part-time during the fall semesters and direct the work of the Golden Angels Network, which has evolved into the largest angel investment group in the southeast Wisconsin/northern Illinois region.
Additionally, Keanue will continue his role as an adviser to faculty university-wide on technology transfer through the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.
Keane joined Marquette 10 years ago for what he anticipated to be a one-year appointment as an adjunct faculty member and entrepreneur-in-residence. Since then, he has helped grow entrepreneurship at Marquette. He was vital to the success of the Business Plan Competition, and helped the Kohler Center to launch Entrepreneurship Week programming.
In a note to Linda Salchenberger, Marquette’s Keyes Dean of Business Administration, Keane wrote, "This time here has been a life-altering experience for me. There’s nothing even close to the privilege of being in the classroom, and I’m humbled by that experience every day. And I still have stage fright every time I walk into class."
Marquette will launch a search for a new Kohler Center director after Jan. 1, 2012.
