The Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) has hired Craig Kammholz as its chief financial officer.
Kammholz most recently served as budget director for the Milwaukee County Department of Administrative Services and as special deputy controller for the City of Milwaukee.
“Craig brings a wealth of experience from his positions at Milwaukee County and his previous positions at the City of Milwaukee for the past 14 years to this role,” said Tim Sheehy, MMAC president. “We believe he will be a great asset to our team, and Craig is a testament to the quality of talent our public sector is able to attract.”
According to Sheehy, Kammholz will be responsible for MMAC’s financial, budgeting, investment and administrative processes.
“As a member of the MMAC management team, the CFO also participates in strategic planning for the organization and the analysis of public policy, economic development and business community issues. At the county, Craig was responsible for recommending a countywide budget to the county executive, developing and proposing long range fiscal policies and strategic goals. At the city, Kammholz estimated the long-term fiscal impacts of various capital budgeting and financing alternatives. This experience will serve him well in his new role,” Sheehy said.
