Kaiser: Wisconsin has enrolled 8.5 percent of eligible marketplace population

The Kaiser Family Foundation has issued a new report titled “Marketplace Enrollment as a Share of the Marketplace Eligible Population” that shows Wisconsin has enrolled 8.5 percent of its eligible population.

 
The national rate of enrollment stands at 7.8 percent, with 2,234,171 people enrolled of out of 28,605,000 people who are eligible for Obamacare coverage. Wisconsin is above the national rate, having enrolled 40,752 of the 482,000 eligible. This puts the state at 16th in the nation.

The majority of the top 20 states in this ranking have state-based marketplaces. Among the 27 states with a fully federally-facilitated marketplace, Wisconsin is 4th, behind only Maine (7th), North Carolina (11th), and Montana (15th).
