Johnson named president of Social Development Foundation

Jasmine Johnson has been elected president of the Social Development Foundation, a non-profit that provides funding for the Social Development Commission’s programs and services.

The organization’s mission is to empower Milwaukee residents with the resources to move beyond poverty.
Johnson, a 31-year-old Milwaukee resident and Pfizer Inc. employee, replaces Neil Albrecht as president.
“I look forward to making a valuable contribution to the role as President for the Social Development Foundation and continuing the phenomenal work that this board has done over the past few years,” Johnson said. “Neil Albrecht, the immediate past president, has laid an amazing foundation, and I am excited for the opportunity to continue building upon that in order to further the mission and vision of SDF.  Serving alongside, and now leading such great talent that this board offers is a complete honor, and together we will surpass our goals generating necessary resources to be able to strengthen the bridge [programs and services provided by SDC] in order to empower Milwaukee County residents to move beyond poverty.”
