Johnson Creek manufacturer to open plant in Milwaukee

Johnson Creek-based Diamond Precision Products said that it plans to open a plant in Milwaukee and will lease 60,000 square feet in an 82,000-square-foot building at 11000 Heather Ave., on the city’s far northwest side.

Diamond Precision Products is a manufacturer of high-precision components for commercial and industrial applications. The company recently landed several new contracts, which exceeded the capacity of its existing 100,000-square-foot facility in Johnson Creek.

The company plans to immediately hire 40 people for its Milwaukee plant, and will hold a job fair for those positions today. The company will hire skilled machinists, production supervisors, machine operators, quality technicians, manufacturing engineers and other production support personnel.

The company said it could create an additional 100 jobs at the Milwaukee plant during the next several years.

The state of Wisconsin’s Economic Development Corp. is providing $400,000 in tax credits for the project.
