Johnson Controls International plc has named
Nate Manning as the new president of its Building Solutions, North America segment.
The Building Solutions, North America segment generated $9 billion in revenue for JCI in fiscal 2019, making it the largest of the company’s four segments. In the first three quarters of the company’s 2020 fiscal year, the segment generated nearly $6.4 billion in revenue a 4% decline from the previous year.
"Nate brings a wealth of customer, industry and market knowledge to this role and I am confident he will continue to inspire confidence and leverage all the opportunities available to drive sustainable growth," said George Oliver, chairman and CEO of Johnson Controls.
Manning was most recently vice president, field operations for the segment, giving him responsibility for safety and performance in the field installation and services organization.
He joined Johnson Controls in 2019 after holding leadership roles at GE Power, GE Energy Connections Services, GE Aviation and Eaton Aerospace.
Manning started his career as a design engineer and holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical and industrial engineering from the University of Dayton.
He replaces Rod Rushing as president of the segment. Rushing
left Johnson Controls in March to become chief executive officer of Milwaukee-based specialty vehicle maker REV Group.
