Johnson Controls encourages green jobs

Johnson Controls hosted a Green Jobs Day event on Friday at the company’s headquarters, 5757 N. Green Bay Ave. in Glendale.

About 55 Milwaukee teens from the company’s Conservation Leadership Corps program took part in the event, which featured remarks from Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett highlighting the city’s green economy.
The CLC is a summer program, sponsored by Johnson Controls, the Student Conservation Association and the Milwaukee Area Workforce Investment Board, that aims to teach sustainability and leadership skills to Milwaukee teens through field conservation work.
