Johnson Bank to open Mequon branch

Racine-based Johnson Financial Group plans to open a new Johnson Bank branch at 1555 W. Mequon Road in Mequon.

The company currently has 40 branches, most of which are in Wisconsin. Five are in Arizona. This is the second north shore branch the bank has opened. The other is in Whitefish Bay.

“We are a strong financial partner to businesses and the people who work and live in the greater Milwaukee area. Our new location in Mequon further demonstrates our commitment to this area and to Ozaukee County,” said Peter Engel, executive vice president of consumer banking for Johnson Financial Group.

Johnson Bank expects the new branch will open in late fall, pending regulatory approvals.

“Our ability to offer local decision making, personalized service and customized solutions presents a unique opportunity for businesses and residents in Ozaukee County,” said Gus Hernandez, regional president, Milwaukee. “In addition to giving our existing clients another option to do their banking, our financial expertise and focus on building long term relationships offers another choice to this market. We are very excited to be entering Ozaukee County.”
