Irish Genie to replace Judge’s on North Avenue

The owners of Bad Genie Rock Lounge at 789 N. Jefferson St. in downtown Milwaukee plan to open Irish Genie in the former Judge’s tavern at 1431 E. North Ave., on Milwaukee’s East Side.

“The North Avenue nightlife scene deserves a jolt of new energy,” said co-owner Nick Rezny. “Our plan is to deliver that jolt—without forgetting the qualities that Milwaukeeans have always appreciated in a pub.”

Irish Genie will cater to lunch, happy hour, dinner and nightlife crowds. The menu is “American Pub fare with a twist,” including burgers and brats from local distributors, and a variety of micro brews.

Irish Genie will have two mini-bowling lanes and an outdoor beer garden with couches and individual fire pits.
