A subsidiary of Milwaukee-based commercial real estate development firm Irgens has purchased the former headquarters of The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities on the northwest side of Milwaukee for $1.2 million.

ASQ Center

The 32,334-square-foot building, at 11700 W. Lake Park Drive, had been on the market for more than two years and was last listed by Bill Bonifas, of CBRE, for $3 million.

The building was purchased by affiliate of Ivory Retail Office, LLC. Irgens is a co-managing member of Ivory Retail, along with Williams Development Corporation.

The Alliance will move into 22,000 square feet of space vacated by VISIT Milwaukee in the ASQ Center at 648 N. Plankinton Ave., which is owned by Irgens, on June 1. They will lease their current building for the next two months.

Mark Irgens could not be reached for comment.

VISIT Milwaukee moved to a smaller floor in the ASQ building.

The Alliance is the largest association of private, nonprofit child- and family-serving organizations in North America. The organization is based in Washington, D.C., but has its national operation center in Milwaukee.

About 75 people work out of the Milwaukee office, including finance, IT, marketing and communications, behavioral health and the organization’s Ways to Work program.
