Hispanic Chamber to honor Monreal-Cameron

The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin will honor outgoing chief executive officer Maria Monreal-Cameron on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Monreal-Cameron, who is retiring, will be saluted as a Milwaukee Latina pioneer. The event, called ¡Bravo!, will honor her impact on the Hispanic community and the greater Milwaukee business landscape.

The event is being planned by current and past colleagues, friends and HCCW volunteers. The party will feature entertainment, food and a cash bar.

Thanks to generous corporate supporters, there is no cost to attend the event, which will be held at the Potawatomi Bingo & Casino Expo Center. However, online registration at www.HCCWBravo.org is required by Monday, Sept. 16.

Earlier this year, Monreal-Cameron received the BizTimes Woman Executive of the Year Award, saluting her leadership in the community and service as a mentor for young women.
