HFM Packaging sold to Illinois-based PPC Flexible Packaging

Pewaukee-based firm known for re-sealable pouches

Pewaukee-based HFM Packaging Ltd. has been sold to Buffalo Grove, Illinois-based PPC Flexible Packaging LLC for an undisclosed price.

HFM has been in business more than 40 years and makes packaging for cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, food and industrial applications. The company is known for its high-speed die cut labeling capabilities and re-sealable pouching technology.

“It’s our goal to leverage HFM’s state-of-the-art reclosable and pouch technologies in both consumer and health care markets to an even higher level of growth through new and existing customers across all of PPC’s businesses,” said Kevin Keneally, chief executive officer of PPC Flexible.

PPC has five manufacturing facilities, including in Buffalo Grove, Kansas, Georgia, Utah and South America. The company is owned by management and Morgan Stanley Capital Partners.

“I am very proud of the growth that HFM has witnessed over the past 40 years. We are excited to share technologies with PPC and are pleased to have found a partner with the ability to increase our progress,” said Paul Martinez, CEO of HFM Packaging.

Martinez did not immediately respond to an email seeking additional comment on the sale and future plans for Pewaukee operations.
