Herzing Educational Foundation, the charity arm of Herzing University, has donated $40,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. Half of the gift will provide members with scholarships to attend Herzing University or other accredited career orientated programs and half will be used to grow and develop programs at the Boys & Girls Club.
“I am delighted to help support the youth developmental mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs, particularly since I had benefitted from its programs as a youngster, myself,” said Henry Herzing, chancellor and co-founder of Herzing University and founder of the Herzing Educational Foundation. “Its work is immensely important to the youth of our community and therefore critical to the future of the community itself.”
Vincent Lyles, incoming leader of the Boys & Girls Clubs’ of Greater Milwaukee and Henry were joined by several Boys & Girls Club members at the check presentation held yesterday at the Daniels-Mardak Boys & Girls Club, 4834 N. 35th St.
