HellermannTyton seeking loan for expansion

HellermannTyton Corp. is seeking financing from the Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation to purchase a building and land at 6701-11 W. Good Hope Road in Milwaukee.

The Milwaukee-based global wire, cable and component manufacturer supplies the automotive, truck and heavy equipment, electrical, manufacturing/OEM, renewable energies and networking/data center industries from locations in 34 countries.
The company plans to finance the renovations and equipment investment independently. HellermannTyton is seeking a $2.75 million loan from the MEDC for the $6.5 million project.
According to the application, HellermannTyton would use the building to expand its production capacity and reserve the land for future expansion of the building.
Some manufacturing operations would be moved to the Good Hope Road facility, making more space available for research and development, mold making and quality functions at the headquarters, 7930 N. Faulkner Road in Milwaukee.
The MEDC loan and finance committee is set to make a decision on the loan at its 2 p.m. meeting today.
